Dr Alan is a Pennsylvania native who earned his B.S. degree from Mt. St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, MD. He is also a 1990 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. His practice career has included tending to the medical and surgical needs of farm and companion animal species.

Dr Amy is a Maryland native who earned her B.A. degree from Wittenberg University in Ohio, and then her V.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Amy, also, has worked with farm animals, but has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery exclusively since 1993.
